"Art Beat 3"
8:20am

Julia and I wanted to get out fairly early for Art Beat 3. There were more than sixty artists displaying their art. "Strange Angel" by Al Glann seemed to watch over the festivities:

Such a wide variety of artistic styles, from cowboy western, realistic, expressionistic and student art were represented. A chalk artist gathered much attention, as we watched her piece evolve:

Another photographer captures her from the other side...

I'm so glad The Yuma Sun article writer captured her info. She is "Adry del Rocio, a painter from Guadalajara, Mexico", who is also "an art teacher". Those eyes in her piece called "Pasion Roja" (Red Passion) would later look over bright pink flowers.

After we enjoyed the artwork, it was time for lunch. We went to "Da Boys Italian Restaurant", which has just been open for a month in Old Town, in the old Kress building. While I enjoyed the decorating scheme, as images of actors from the '40's seemed to glance at us, I tried to imagine what it looked like when it was a 'five and dime' department store. We'll be back again soon, for their Greek pizza is excellent!
