Tutankhamun's Treasures - Gilded Wooden Bed

Gilded Wooden Bed
Wood, Gold Leaf
Grand Egyptian Museum #14276
There were four beds in Tutankhamun's tomb annexe and two elsewhere. Some were not gilded and more likely used in daily life. It is the first time this gilded one has travelled on exhibition. "The bed's ebony frame is covered with gold leaf. Carved on the footboard are Bes, guardian of newborns, and the hippopotamus-faced Taweret, who provide protection." (Info card)

A bit fuzzy, but we can see the bed's foot.
