So here are the initial concepts:
This was achieved by a 90 degree slide of the hue shifter in Photoshop, and then an inversion.
Any variation of the 90 degree slide results in purple and green ankhs.
(A 180 degree slide results in the red and blue ankhs merely 'changing place', so 90 degrees is the halfway point.)
These are the two variations of green:
First the original blue only color shifted, and the second is the red ankh color shifted and inverted.
The reality is somewhere between the above two concepts:
Also, it has a more yellowish cast. If one wants to go lighter in reality, and doesn't want a whitish pastel,
then there needs to be more yellow. Light and saturated ("neon" doesn't exist in threadville.)
But I'm pleased with the yellow hue, it has a more restful aspect than neon day-glo. Also, it seems more 'earthy'.
The two side by side:
The limitations of purple in thread are even more pronounced. All the purples are quite muted.
Again, it does grant a more peaceful aspect. Again, it seems more 'airy'.
Now to the poems:
These two ankhs have a poem fragment on their back, owing to using a larger piece of canvas:
Divine grace,
holds to my nose an ankh
of enticing fragrance,
soothing fragrance.
The sweetness of this gift
wafts away acrid sorrows,
bringing fresh hope to my musty gloom.

A renewing blessing,
glowing vital ankh
enlivens all it touches,
quickening fragile seeds.
In the dark places of my soul,
greening hope may sprout,
graced by nurturing love.
