Some Simple Discoveries

This morning's snack before breakfast....

I've had some recent simple discoveries! The speaker prong is much better put into the computer jack for it, and not the monitor jack. We might have caused the early death of our previous monitor as it could rarely go to 'sleep', because the black screen would end our music or book streaming. Now the monitor goes dark and the music continues. Not only that, the speakers seem to give us much better sound. The second small innovation: put your snacks on your drink table, and far fewer crumbs will end up in your keyboard!

The third discovery is really a re-discovery. In order to have green canvas, I had to buy specially dyed fabric. I heard the dyed fabric tends to shrink, so I decided to use a hoop to prevent further 'shrinkage' as the ankh gets stitched:


The stitching does seem to go much smoother with a hoop!
