Looking Back on Mother's Day
5:36am

In her genealogy hunts, Julia turned up a photo featuring my mother's people. Three generations of my "J2b1a" line here:
My mother's mother is the lady half hiding on the far right. Her sister ("Teta") is beside her, and their mother is the lady in black. My mother is at the other end with the blonde hair and dark jacket. Two of my mother's brothers are the two young boys there. The others (and dark haired wife) belong to a brother of my mother's mother.

Should you be reading this on Mother's Day, have a happy Mother's Day. But have a happy day, whatever day it is!

Yesterday, after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Great Fun!), we went out to eat. Usually the restaurant is a quiet, intimate place on a Saturday afternoon. This day, it was buzzing with people, and the restaurant staff were really hopping. Having applied my detective skills to the photo above, I began examining the groups of people, determining who is related to whom. I enjoyed watching a little girl, just a little bit younger than the youngest in the photo above. She was playing with a blue toothbrush that matched her light blue dress. She held it like it was her scepter, the charming little princess!
