Four Dancers
6:31am

Graphite pencil and sharpie pen on 8.5 x11" semi-transparent ink and marker paper.

Another one of those drawings "because I couldn't sleep". It is joyful, perhaps because I anticipate a good weekend. I have every hope that it will be better than last weekend. Last weekend, Julia got so sick. At first, we'd put it down to food poisoning, and blamed the one thing she ate that I didn't eat, a Caesar salad. But by Monday morning, I had reason to think it was a bug. My fevered weakness and other symptoms sent me home from work.

The weekend wasn't a total loss. Julia and I did enjoy the movie about Bobby Fischer, "Pawn Sacrifice". And the new PBS drama "Indian Summers" looks to be promising. But other than that...

This weekend WILL be better. Already we have seen a good movie. I don't know how we managed to miss seeing "Mulan" for all these years. But I am glad now to own the DVD, and the bonus material. The tale of the heroic young woman is a pure delight. And I've already done a drawing.

So in about ten hours...
