Heavy Iron Ore!

©JAL, 2007

I saw this huge iron ore meteorite when we visited the Natural History Museum in Washington D.C. in 2007. I wasn't able to find out how much it weighs, but I did learn that it's "7 x 5 feet in size" (2.1336 m x 1.524 m). Anything made of mostly iron that big has GOT to be pretty darn heavy! Not quite measuring up on the scale compared to this rock, the huge AQUAmarine crystal from last week's theme would also be rather hefty as well.
